The
Health of the family is of critical importance. Too many of us wait
until there is a medical emergency to decide to live a healthy lifestyle.
At our 2010 Family Reunion in Raleigh, North Carolina The American
Red Cross, Duke Eye Center, Care, the National Bone Marrow Foundation,
Joseph and Kathleen Bryan Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center
will perform diagnostic screenings for all interested family members.
We are please to inform you that the Spaulding Family Health Faire
will be located at The Hilton North Raleigh Hotel, 3415 Wake Forest
Road, Raleigh, North Carolina. We would like to triple the participation
in 2010 at the Spaulding Health-Faire, therefore, we encourage Spaulding
Family members and there children and spouses to participate in
the diagnostic screening.
The
Spaulding Family Health Committee’s objectives are:
1. Improve the health of our family through on-going educational
opportunities
2. Institute an organ donor program utilizing existing national
donor organizations.
3. Give family members the necessary tools in order to change there
prospective about there health
Membership on the Family Health Committee is open to all interested

The Spaulding
2010 Health-faire will focus on making family members aware of health
concerns and the important of getting medical attention before any
major health problems occur in their life. We will conduct educational
sessions on how important it is to have the necessary tools in order
to change your prospective about your health and your children health.
Believe it or not, the number one problem confronting Native and
Afro-American in the future is obesity. Our children are over weight
and are at high risk for developing cardiovascular disease. Therefore,
it necessary for us as a family to stop this predicted early death
for our children. By educating each other we can prevent this future
catastrophe from happening. It is a know fact that exercise and
nutritional changes can extend you life for many years. Therefore
I am urging all Spaulding family members to take full advantage
of all the Health Services that will be available to you and your
family at the Spaulding 2010 reunion.
