The family reunions are held every two years with every other reunion normally held somewhere in North Carolina or close to the state line. The normal attendance for a reunion held in North Carolina is approximately 650 family members. North Carolina is the state where the Spaulding Family originated and it still contains the largest population of Benjamin and Edith Spaulding Descendants. The normal attendance for reunions held outside of the state of North Carolina is approximately 400 family members. A committee made up of family members who live in the vicinity of the location where the reunion will be held normally organize the reunion. During the 2000 Reunion in Atlanta GA a Reunion Planning Permanent Committee was established to assist in the planning and conducting of reunions.
